The Sights of Alexandria

The 27th RUME Conference

This was one of the papers presented by the "Tech in Math Ed" working group that I am a part of.

I got to present twice at the conference. This was the poster I did with my research sis, Devin.

Playing Hooky (a Washington, DC Adventure)

Arlington National Cemetery

We got to see the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and a wreath-laying ceremony from the German Embassy.

The front of Arlington House - originally the house of Robert E. Lee

Arlington House's front porch view.

The Kennedy Memorial.

The view walking into DC.

Standing in both Virginia and DC at the same time (approximately).

The Lincoln Memorial

The National Mall

The J. Edgar Hoover FBI Building

Sadly, we didn't go to see if we could find Mulder and Scully in the basement office.

After seeing the Hoover building, we made it back in time for lunch and afternoon talks. Then, we went for dinner at Ichiban Izikaya, a local Japanese restaurant. I had some delicious Teriyaki Chicken. Devin had a gorgeous plate of sushi.

We were very hungry, seeing as we walked 24,000+ steps by dinner time. The DC sights looked a lot closer on the map than they actually were.
